poser

stella is such a poser! she climbed on top of this big box in our living room and decided that I should do a "photo shoot" with her little cheesy smiles!

robbed

seriously, i have some horrible kharma.... just got my purse stolen.... so for those of you playing at home, that makes 7 thefts in the past 1.5 years! a year ago my house was broken into... car has been broken into 3 times in the past year... purse stolen 3 times in past year - i'm going through phones and purses and drivers licenses like nobody's business!

geez louise... not a fan.. i need to right something, cuz this bad kharma is not fun!

back from boston

sammy and i just got back from a lovely visit to boston! we went to adam and cindy's wedding and visited natalie & phil and vivian and pip... thanks much to our hostess with the mostess!

sammy looked cute in her red sox hat - she enjoyed the fenway park tour, I think! also had a blast at the public gardens, riding on the fake ducks... she and pip had a great time playing too - bathtime was a supreme hit! especially when they were snuggled and rolling around like little burritos in their towels afterward!

we missed daddy and stella and are glad to be back home!

parents day

today we went to the girls school for a "parents day" tea. it was cute - stella received a certificate for completing training in safety... her favorite part was getting to go inside a police car and meeting some firemen! sammy made us an adorable pot that she painted and stella made us a cute flower stand with her pic in it - complete with glitter galore! stella & franny posed with their safety certificates - little cutie BFF's!

we had a nice evening at home tonight... grilled some salmon, enjoyed it with a little rose, and all ate out on the back deck, on stella and sammy's little mini table - that was an adventure! at least the sunset was gorgeous & it really was a nice night in our back yard!

losing...

i really hate losing - especially for competitive sports! we played a really aggressive team tonight at my soccer game.. and we played well... but right at the end, they scored a goal and won. i'm QUITE bummed about it!

if you give a pig a pancake

we started the day off with our traditional pancakes and smoothies for breakfast.. the girls were so cute i had to snap a pic, mid breakfast, cuz i saw them eating their pancakes and holding hands. oh sweet sisters, i hope this lasts!

then we raced off to gymnastics, stella did a great job on the beam all by herself! she's really doing well in the "big girl" class - only trouble is that sammy is ready to join her, but isn't quite old enough, so it breaks my heart to have to try to practice the art of distraction while stella is out there doing her thing and sammy just wants to be with her big sister!

then we went off to the JCC in downtown SF to see a musical/play - the performers reenacted some of our favorite books and it was quite entertaining! sammy really enjoyed each one- there were 7 books they did, each as a separate "act" - and she stood up and clapped and said "yea!" after each! stella got a bit frightened by the actors dressed as pirates and dragons in a couple of the stories... but all in all, a good time. our favorite was the one reenacting the story, "if you give a pig a pancake".

later, daddy came home and we were QUITE happy to see him, since we'd missed him all week while he was having fun golfing and fishing with his buddies.... welcome home charlie!

saturday fun

soccer in the morning - stella did a great job and sammy and i had fun practicing kicking meanwhile!

then we went to the farmers market (in the rain!) and then checked out this new fabric store, stone mountain fabric.. it was QUITE cool! it was like christmas - stella had a hard time picking just ONE fabric to use to make a blanket for her babies...

during the afternoon, the girls played dressup and had a great time cracking each other up - the pirate hat (see pic above) was a big hit!

stella also practiced writing her name - sooooo exciting!

later we had grandma ginny over to dinner - and that was a nice treat... so sweet to have her close now!
